Earlier this year, in April to be specific, we featured a teaser trailer to the Quiksilver/Candide Thovex collaboration that people have come to know as “Few Words”. Whilst mentioning the name Candide Thovex will always grab the attention of ski enthusiasts, it was after watching the “Few Words” trailer that we became truly excited at the prospect of watching the full edit (that might be a slight understatement if you read the original post here). This wait however, has finally come to an end, as the Grand Rex Theatre in Paris became home to the premier screening of the highly anticipated film last Saturday.
Following serious injuries to both his knees and back that forced him into a reasonably lengthy lay-off, Candide Thovex is back with a bang in his first ever feature-film. Many ski enthusiasts will have wondered what the French maestro might have been getting up to of late, but they will have been delighted to hear what Thovex has actually been getting up to. In this time he has been searching the globe for some of the world’s best ski spots, in order to capture some of the most breathtaking freeski footage you are likely to see anywhere.
“Few Words” will be making an international tour prior to the film going on sale this coming winter, so keep your eyes peeled for one of the must have stocking-fillers for any serious ski fan.
